My art and my life have always been intertwined. I can't remember a time since my childhood when drawing and painting didn't give me a sense of excitement.

Creating art and living in the world of colour brings me solace and is my way of expressing thoughts and feelings that inspire me. It lets me forget the ugly side of the world while remembering its beauty.

I spent almost twenty years of my adult life in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is a place I love and to which I will always return. I made many friends, became a Canadian citizen and had the time of my life during the years I attended university there. It is where I launched my career as an international artist. During the Covid crisis I decided to come back to my homeland here in Greece. I missed the sun, the warmth, the food, old friends and family, as well as familiar places and memories of my earlier years. I also realized my main inspiration has always come from the sea and the port city of Thessaloniki where I grew up.

If by day I paint and walk around the city, evenings are filled with Samba Reggae Drum rhythms. I have been a proud member of Batala Salonica for almost three years now playing the Fundo (Surdo - bass drum). Batala is a Samba-Reggae percussion band with branches all over the world. I find that making art in the studio by myself and playing music with a group of friends  perfectly complement each other and enrich my Mediterranean psyche.

On another note, I want to thank all the collectors who over the last thirty years have made it possible for me to continue my work. They have supported me and given me the courage to keep on doing what I love most. Art in all its forms is what humanizes us and makes our daily life more bearable and beautiful. I often think about my creations scattered around the world in your homes and places of work with the hope they bring joy into your life.
