I am not an art connoisseur so buying an original piece of art is something I never imagined doing. Then I came across Margarita's work. It spoke to me, so I bought my first painting. I wanted you to know that both my boyfriend and I fell in love with your work. So much that last week we drove to Quebec City for the sole purpose to acquire one of your pieces. That same painting was on hold (not sold yet) for another client who was on vacation. Our contact didn’t know about it. On the road back from Quebec City, we’ve found a similar painting of yours on the Internet (thanks to technology!), which seemed even better because of the size – to take full advantage of it. We immediately called the gallery in a rush to ask them to find it. They checked and called us back but it was already sold at the Montreal gallery. Our last chance was to wait the return of the client who reserved your work… And yesterday we’ve learned that No, they didn’t change their mind (but I understand completely, we wouldn’t have!!!!)

So now we are crushed!

I own two of your paintings from the Drift series: "Another Part of Me" and "Tempest". Your paintings speak to me and these two are among my all time favourite paintings that my wife and I own. We live in Red Deer, Alberta and love purchasing original art from galleries and also online - mostly Canadian artists. I am a business person, and the Tempest was in my office Red Deer for quite a while. What I love about it is the movement out of the darkness - I use it as a reminder when we take on large new initiatives at work. Initially there are a lot of unknowns, chaos and uncertainty, but as we move forward, things settle and become more clear (like moving through the eye of a storm).

“Another Part of Me” resonates with me deeply at a personal level as I see myself in the painting. In fact, my wife purchased it online for me as a gift at one point for the same reason! It has resided in our main living space since the day we bought it and I love it more every time I see it!
